Despite the obvious benefits,
some claim that such wealthy people are rarely ever happy.
In my view, I agree with this idea.
To begin, work gives people purpose and meaning in life,
which is why those who do not work are unhappy.
Whether one is the CEO of a multinational conglomerate
or a butcher serving customers at the local market,
that job gives the one doing it
a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment.
One can feel needed in the community,
knowing that their daily actions and
decisions are helping someone.
That is why people who do not work lack such a purpose.
They may seem happy on the outside,
as they regularly party and splurge on things.
But on the inside, they are lost and empty.
