It is sometimes argued that international organisations should provide practical aidand ad
vice to developing countries instead of financial aid. While l agree thatpractical aid and
advice can bring significant benefits,l do not think thatinternational organisations shou
ld stop providing financial aid to developingcountries.Advice and practical aid, such as t
echnology transfer, school supplies and medicateams, can bring significant benefits. They
help developing countries to improveindustry,agriculture, education and health care. As a
result, these countries canboost economic growth , create jobs and reduce their dependence
on international aidin the long term.Also , the purpose of practical aid and advice from
international organisations tendsto be very specific. This means that giving practical aid
and advice can helpinternational organisations to ensure that their aid is used properly
and efficientlyFor example, many international medical aid teams focus on the treatment of
certaindiseases that are common in a particular country or area. This can help internatio
nalorganisations to reduce misuse of aid.At the same time, l believe that financial aid sh
ould also be an important part ofinternational organisations’ aid for developing countries
. These countries can buylocally-produced goods rather than imported goods with financial
aid, which cancontribute to their economy. Furthermore, financial aid plays a key role in
improvingtheir infrastructure, such as schools, hospitals and roads. Without financial aid
frominternational organisations, some developing countries would not even have enoughfaci
lities where they could apply advanced technology or put the advice that theyhave received
into practice.In conclusion,whilelagree that international organisations should providede
veloping countries with practical aid and advice, l believe that financial aid shouldalso
be a key part of their aid for developing countries.
