WE
less immigration has attracted nume
rous controversies and drawn the public’s attention.
Some people believe that people shoul
d travel more, while others hold the view that there
should be more events hosted to bridg
e the gap between people from different cultures.
In my opinion, this problem can be solve
d by individuals and governments working together.
Firstly, governments need to host more
events for people from different cultures.
Although activities pay put a financial burden
on society, I still reckon that
international activities such as fairs and exhibitions can
help people to understand foreign culture and enrich life experience.
For example, a well
- known American scientist Einstein once said that
people are interested in various activi
ties about different cultures, which can increase immigration.
It is thus clearly shown th
at culture shock can be reduced if people
understand other cultures better through community events.
Moreover, another factor that should be considered is
that individuals should tr
avel more. As far as governments are concerned, the ultimate
goal of governments is to
attract more immigrants and enhance economic development,
so travelling plays an important role in our whole society.
For instance, a recent article published in The Economist revealed that
more than half of people think the governments should value the importance of
travelling and offer subsidies and promotional policies to attract tourists.
Undoubtedly, this
is a clear indication that culture shock will become less of a problem
if people travel mo
re In conclusion, I hold the view that culture shock can be managed
by both individuals an
d governments. To address this issue, the government and society
should make a concerted effort to find solutions.
