From my perspective, films made purely for entertainment are also worth going to.
Some films are made to invoke deep thoughts on serious topics so people
can reflect afterwards. They are undoubtedly amazing to watch.
But films that are simply made for giving people a great laugh
also deserve to be respected since people take something away from them.
People have enjoyed the time they sit in the movie theater and laugh together with
all the audience there. I don't think the former is much superior to the latter.
Some movies, not only comedies, have no serious plots or themes for people to dig deeper.
However, as long as the story is amazing, it should not matter that whether
people will learn something from it or reflect on something mentioned in it.
Film is a way of entertainment, maybe some people enjoy serious topic for
their own entertainment, but it is not the reason to criticize people
who simply want fun from films.
