1 The chairman announced that the next meeting of the committee will be held at 6 p.m.
on Friday, January 8, 2007, in the conference room.
2 The 4th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Youth's Association was held
in the conference room at 22 Wetlands Road, at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2008.
3 The report of the Improvements Committee was presented by Lucy W arren,
who distributed the results of a survey on the use of Sun Park.
4 The manager of the sales department maintained that his department could not
take sole responsibility for the recent downturn in the company's profits.
5 Thomas Martin, treasurer, reported receipts of $275.00 and expenditures of $158.75
since the last meeting, for a current balance of $2,480.82.
6 It was moved by Adam Wade, second by Andrew Fine, that up to $500 be spent on a new
drinking fountain, to be chosen by the Improvements Committee.
7 Mr.White stated that he would like a subcommittee to be formed
to study the legislation and report back at the following meeting.
8 Mr.Mills reported that the recent government legislation concerning
“Health and Safety at Work Procedures" would require some consideration.
9 Mr.Taylor, Mr.Brenner and Ms.Oliver volunteered to form the subcommittee and
agreed to meet on Tuesday 27th of June, 2006.
10 After the discussion it was decided that Mr.Mills would speak to the architects and
report his findings to the next meeting.
11 Ms.Oliver reported that she had seen the plans for the new office block and
was concerned that not enough space had been allocated to each member of the staff
using that block.
12 Whereas Mrs.Rosa Adamson will be retiring on April 1 after 32 years of service
to Hanson Industries, this board expresses its deep and sincere appreciation to her and
best wishes are extended to her for a long and happy retirement.
13 The chairman pointed out that the Association would organize a number of
social gatherings in the near future, it was necessary to co-opt a social convener
into the committee.
14 After considering the choice in detail, it was agreed that Miss Susan Wentworth
be coopted as Social Convener.
15 After a detailed discussion, it was agreed that the Association
would launch a fund-raising campaign in the form of Gala Premiere in December,
with a target of twenty thousand dollars.
