China's higher education
said that higher education has been
gradually developing from elite education to mass education.
With the increase of enrollment and the competition for
college employment rates, grade inflation has become a fact.
According to The Blue Book of Examination Report (2019),
"the gross enrollment rate of China's higher education reaches 45.7 percent.,
which is higher than the average
level of middle-and high-incomes countries." This proportion will continue to rise.
China's higher education
is shifting from elite education to mass education,
and there inevitably occurs the phenomena of grade inflation and
certificate inflation.
