Jolene was in the school library studying for the examinations .
She wanted to improve her vocabulary so whenever she came
across a word she did not understand , she would check its meaning in
a dictionary .A group of boys from another class came into the library .
They were talking and laughing very loudly and being in considerate
.Jolene frowned because the noise wos affecting her concentration
The librarian asked the boys if they could speak softly but they did not
listen , continuing to joke and laugh loudly . Jolene couldnot bear the
noise any longer and walked angrily over to the boys. The boys stopped
talking and looked at her . Jolene's face was as black as thunder . " If you
do not want to keep quiet , maybe you should leave , " she said . " People
come to the library to read and study . " Hearing that , the boys looked
ashamed and apologisedely to JoleneJolene was surprised at their sincerity
and said , " It is all right. Actually , you should read some of these books in
the library . Youcan become very knowledgeable this way . " The boys looked
curious and picked up some books . In time , they were
all keen readers !From then on , Jolene and the boys were good friends.
